Projects move faster when waste removal is handled. Construction debris piling up on site, renovation scraps filling every corner of the driveway, landscaping material with nowhere to go — these aren't minor annoyances. They slow progress, create safety hazards, and eventually force a scramble to fix a problem that should've been planned for upfront.
OC Porta Potties extends its services to dumpster rental in Old Mystic, CT, giving customers a single reliable vendor for both portable sanitation and waste container needs. One call, two problems solved.
Whether you're running a week-long renovation or managing ongoing construction site waste, the right container makes the job cleaner from start to finish.

- Sod and topsoil excavation
- Old fencing, garden timber, and retaining wall material
- Gravel, rock, and hardscape demolition
- Storm damage debris from downed trees or structures
- Seasonal yard cleanup loads
One well-placed container handles what would otherwise take a dozen trailer trips — and eliminates the need to haul it yourself.
Blog: Picking the Right Dumpster Size for Your Project in Old Mystic
Container size selection determines whether your project flows smoothly or gets interrupted by a mid-job call for a second container. Here's how to think through it.
A 10-yard container handles focused, smaller-scope projects — a single bathroom renovation, a one-car garage cleanout, or a targeted landscaping job. It fits in most driveways and holds roughly the equivalent of three pickup truck loads.
A 20-yard container covers most residential renovation projects in Old Mystic, CT — kitchen gut jobs, full flooring replacements, multi-room cleanouts, or a standard roofing project. This is the most commonly rented size because it matches the most common project scope.
A 30-yard container makes sense when a renovation spans multiple rooms, when you're doing structural work, or when a cleanout involves multiple outbuildings. If you're not sure whether you need a 20 or a 30, the answer is usually the 30.
A 40-yard container is for large-scale commercial projects, major structural debris, or estate cleanouts involving an entire property's worth of contents.
One important note: container capacity and weight capacity are separate limits. Dense materials like concrete, brick, and soil fill weight limits quickly even when the container isn't visually full. Let us know what your project involves when you call — we'll factor material type into the size recommendation for your Old Mystic rental.
